Memo to my children:
Effective immediately, no growth spurts will be allowed unless permission has been given, in writing, at least 30 days prior to said growing. Failure to comply will result in the wearing of wrong gender hand-me-downs for several weeks.

Amen to that! Unless of course they want to get onto a really cool ride (so they can go alone and I don’t have subject myself to an afternoon of pukedom ’cause I’m old like that now). Then they may grow temporarily. Or at least wear tall sneakers.
