competition and triumph

STAR has a show once a year for the riders of all the therapeutic programs in this area. It is a real competition with both riders and horses feeling proud and confident. The first STAR horse show Tommy attended was probably the proudest moment of his entire life. He never played little league sports or achieved honors in school, but for one day each year, he feels like a winner. Last year was his very best show ever. Three blue ribbons! His teachers, his family and everyone in the audience applauded his triumph. This year’s show is next weekend, August 4th at Roane State College. Anyone is welcome to attend. Everyone there will be wearing smiles. Moms tend to cry while they smile at the show.
