Giddyup for STAR

This is Tommy. I go to STAR. I go there and ride horses. First, I brush my horse. The horses usually enjoy the brushing. Then I put the saddle on. A lot of the horses hold their breath when the saddle goes on so that it will not be on as tight. Then I get on the horse and ride. The horses can usually sense my mood and listen better when I am in a good mood. Once a year I go to a show. The first time I went, I got a blue ribbon and two 3rd place ribbons. The next year, I got two blue ribbons and a 2nd place. The next year was the same as the second. Then last year, I got 3 blue ribbons. I felt very, very happy. This year, I think I will do very good, although the horse I ride this year and I have trouble getting along. I have a lot of trouble getting this horse to stop, and it also has trouble with riding without a fence to walk alongside of. Still, I enjoy riding, and I think I will do very well this year. They moved the location fairly recently. The old barn was very small, and when it rained we had about 30 square feet of inside riding space. The new barn is much, much larger. We actually have as much space inside the new barn as we had outside the old barn. They are making an indoor arena that can be used for shows. It is going to be HUGE. The outdoor place now is very, very large. After I finish high school, I intend to go to Chattanooga State College. They have a vet tech class I want.
