I was less than thrilled to learn that Blingo has joined with Publishers’ Clearing House. Although it remains to be seen if they will start pushing magazines and stop the fun of the original Blingo, I felt like it was time to try something different. Somethin’ tells me
It’s all happening at the zoo.
The monkeys stand for honesty,
Giraffes are insincere,
And the elephants are kindly but
They’re dumb.
Orangutans are skeptical
Of changes in their cages,
And the zookeeper is very fond of rum.
Zebras are reactionaries,
Antelopes are missionaries,
Pigeons plot in secrecy,
And hamsters turn on frequently.
What a gas! you gotta come and see
At the zoo.

Doug has the weather radio on and I have the tv weather on (they keep begging viewers to e-mail their pictures of weather damage), but so far it is quiet here. It’s 78 degrees and slightly breezy. The air doesn’t have that ‘heavy’ feel that tornado air usually has but I noticed that the squirrels are hiding. Usually the squirrels are busy and playful but I can’t see a single one in the trees right one.
8:32 – Not a single raindrop has fallen here. All is calm.
9:45 – Sprinkling, thunder in the distance.
10:10 – LOTS of lightning. I’m going downstairs to watch tv in bed.
Morning now – The sun is shining and the birds are singing. No trees down and the creek behind the house is low and quiet. All is well.

Target sent me a temporary tattoo of the little target bullseye. Shouldn’t they pay me if I’m going to be their billboard? What if I use the tattoo inappropriately? Will they sue me?
