Is it still Monday?
You know what would be really fun? Someone at the zoo getting access to my checking account and making charges on my already nearly empty bank account.

You came into this world 16 years ago at St.Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville, TN. When the tiny nun visited my room a few hours later to advise me that “children need brothers and sisters,” I wanted to punch her in the face. Sorry about that Sister Reproduction Cheerleader.
What is going on in your brain little man? You started the very first full day of school by missing your bus. Once you arrived, your folder with the dozen forms and signed papers as well as your lunch check was nowhere to be found. How did it disappear between the time I put it […]
Sunday I was happy watching Tommy doing something we never, ever expected him to do. Tommy has reached a magical plateau in his development as a child with Aspergers. He is so wonderful just as he is, that every new milestone feels like a bonus layer on an already perfect cake. Monday I was happy […]
Doug has joked about naked airlines for years. Yuck. I envision the future of flying more of a cross between visiting prison and being a hospital patient. A new checkpoint will be added for passengers to strip down and put on hospital scrubs. No carry-ons will be expanded to include jewelry and personal belongings of […]

Someone please ask Doug why we have a bat in our freezer. After that, explain to me why Tommy started out with one snail in his fish tank, but now has 7 snails in his fish tank.
Gee, I sure am glad I have Knox County’s school board to dictate how much and what my children should eat at school. Heaven forbid that they allow children to actually enjoy special occasions with fun foods. After all, we don’t want children to learn moderation when we could simply ban sweets altogether so that […]
Today was a stressful day, but I was happy watching my parents playing with the children and I was happy that Tommy got to play D&D in the evening. Tommy has spent so little of his life interacting with peers that he truly loves the times he gets to spend with friends.
Today I am happy that my children are all happy. There was no anxiety about the first day of school. Everyone happily jumped right back into the early morning school bus routine. After school we all went to the county’s first day festival so Amy could collect stickers that I will spend the next week […]
