soggy

The washing machine has sprung a leak. The half bath, on the other side of the wall behind the machine, floods whenever I do a load of laundry. The husband spent the weekend doing the maintenance suggestions on the manufacturer’s website. Now, the half bath floods, the hallway floods and a river flows into the garage.

In an attempt to contain the flooding, we have built a dam of towels. Every time I do a load of laundry, the towels become completely saturated and in need of washing to prevent mildew. In order to wash the towels, fresh towels have to be used as a flood dam. We’ve created a feedback loop.

The service appointment is NEXT week. I am going to spend the next seven days like this:

1. Put towel border in hall and bath.
2. Wash one load of laundry.
3. Put soggy towel border in washer.
4. Return to step one.

Does Homeowners cover daily visits to the laundromat?
