Doug will be spending the next 3 weeks working on a project in Oak Ridge. I miss him already. Who will IM me all day or let me run errands while Amy naps? I miss our evenings the most. He has gotten so busy and stressed that we haven’t sat together and talked after the children are tucked in for weeks. 
8 pm, the children are in bed. One or more drags that until 8:30. Then, I take an hour to put the upstairs together and get everything out for the next morning. We used to meet in bed around 9:30 for an hour or two of talking, joking and holding each other. Lately Doug isn’t even home until 10 and then he sits at his computer.

How long do you guys normally stay up after the kids are in bed? What are your usual evenings like?

Yes we do!
You two need a weekend to yourselves – farm out those kids to grandparents etc and have a kinky stay-in-bed weekend with no worries.
