In just one week, three of my children will begin school. Two weeks after that, I’ll have four Knox County students in three different schools. I will have a graduating senior and a kindergartener. Just thinking about it makes me feel dizzy. The number of checks I have to write next week makes me feel nauseous. Maybe that’s just the heat. No, it’s the school fees and supplies.
Cathy, what are your thoughts about how each teacher has a very specific list of supplies for thier class? I have often wondered why we just don’t buy this stuff in bulk and distribute it, rather than having each family run around to get the items — wasted time, wasted gas etc.
