I thought I had an “as long as you’re not hurting yourself or anyone else it’s okay” attitude about most things but now I’m not so sure. This seems like a consensual activity that some people enjoy, but I’m just not sure it is harmless. It makes me feel uncomfortable and it definitely doesn’t give me any tinglies. This article seems really wrong to me.
I think there needs to be a different word for it. The word rape is associated with horrifying events. What that woman seems to be describing is more of a submission, a willing submission. Rape doesn’t have any willingness involved anywhere – well, other than from the sick prick who is very willing to take what is not offered.
The creepiness of the article is that she calles wanting to submit and be ‘taken’ by her husband or lover ‘rape’. Rape is horrible. She needs a new name for whatever it is she wants.
It makes me uncomfortable too since many women ARE raped by their spouses, and when I use the word rape, I don’t mean anything consensual about it.
It’s a role-playing fantasy. You’re playing a part.
Doesn’t make it right, or moral, or healthy – but that’s what it is.

The name is definitely wrong BUT the comments in the original article really don’t make it sound consensual. The commenters seem to be turned on by force.
