Since it was so much fun last year, we are repeating the New Year’s Eve free childcare Girl Scout sleepover again this year. Preparation is the key. The first step is finding a place to put away all our new Christmas treats. The second step is getting a burn permit so that we can have a bonfire and make s’mores. The third step is planning LOTS of activities to keep the girls busy. Any ideas?

Update – It looks like the bonfire will be rained out.

  1. I’m guessing “spin the bottle” isn’t actually a sanctioned Scout activity…

How about What Not to Wear on DVD?

    🙂

  2. Ohhh that sounds like so much fun. I remember my girl scout sleepover’s. We did the bonfire and learned to tie knots. I think we even tried to tie up the little brother. Hmmm… maybe not such a good thing to learn after all 🙂

  3. Hit Rag Shop or Michael’s or whatever Craft Shop is in your area and get lots of kits (i.e. make a braclet, lanyard, etc) for them to make their own personalized items. Keeps ’em busy, and since it is now after Christmas, they are on sale cheap.
