Since the heat index is around 100, I am giving in to Amy’s begging and taking the children to the zoo tomorrow. Did I ever tell you the story about the time I had a heat stroke at the zoo and ended up on a gurney in the medical room? Or the time Noah had a nosebleed at the zoo and after repeated efforts to stop the bleeding in the same medical room mentioned above, we had to take him to the hospital? I wonder what adventure we’ll have tomorrow?
Doug downloaded a voice plug-in, so I can add sound bytes to this blog. It will never be used. I could be a voice double for Dr. Girlfriend of the Venture Brothers.

I asked Tommy to give Evan a snack. He’s seen me do this about 10,872 times. A few minutes later, Evan toddled by chewing on a cold pork chop.

I’m turning the video on for a while. You babysit while I go back to bed. Maybe the children will fight less if they are being supervised by the Internet.
“How’s it feel to have a wacko for a son?
It feels wonderful.”

Earbuds are even worse without the little felt pads.
Nothing says good morning like a gift from the cat. Yuck. Unfortunately, the mouse gravedigger aka Doug needs to sleep today. We now resume our normal lives and blogging. Except, maybe the cameras will remain up some of the time. Not for 24 hours though. That was just too much skin sneaking in late last night. The best part of the blogathon was definitely Evan table dancing. It’s not as funny when you have to pull him off the table a few hundred times a day.

Everybody’s hanging out at Fresh Food, Fresh Blog today. You can even watch Doug and I’s camera feeds from there. Click over and join the party. Now I just need to figure out how to get Evan to leave the camera alone.

Q - Why is your underwear drawer empty Amy?

Our blogathon pledge total is stuck at $215. That’s a good number, but we’d like to go higher. Click over to the Blogathon site and pledge a dollar or two, then encourage others to do the same. Starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow, read Fresh Food, Fresh Blog. Doug and I will have the webcams running for the full 24 hours. After the Blogathon is over, you’ll get a reminder email with the link to Farm Aid so that you can make your pledged donation directly to Farm Aid. Farm Aid will use that money to help families keep their farms and work for legislation to protect family farms.
