I just read all of that DRIVEL that was written. My advice to you is to friggin ignore people who are too dense to understand your life and the challenges of a child like Tommy. YOU know you are a good parent and so does anyone else who has been reading your (all three) blogs for a while. Keep your chin up and keep in your mind and heart that you are doing the very best that you can so who cares what idiots think.
You have to keep in mind that these are people who feel that even the best behaved child is something to be avoided. They don’t understand children in general, and have even less understanding of children with special needs. They don’t know, and don’t want to know, what reality with kids is. Their judgements are harsh, and for the most part are coming from ignorance. You can’t educate them because they don’t want to know. Not all childfree people are like that.
Personally they should be taken out and shot. That’s the most closed-minded thing I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. I was absolutely disgusted. Don’t read that drivel, Cathy. They aren’t worth your time.
