Because they can’t SEE or HEAR it. I solved this with my dauther for a while (now she LIKES it being done because it means she is getting her “nails done”) by doing the following.
I took a shoe box and cut it so there was a “mouse hole” on each side that she could fit her arm through. I then got her to sing a song (or two) so she couldn’t hear the clip. By the time she finished the song, the nails were done.
