We had a peaceful evening of movies and Monopoly last night. I did have to create the “Dad Rule” and instill a fine to be paid to every player when that rule is broken. Noah’s thinking processes were challenged to the brink when I tried explaining that even though we were all still playing, the game was really down to two players and we could drag it out or play toward one of the others’ advantages. “But I still have cash.” Amy fell asleep first, then Evan. The rest of us lasted until 2 in the morning. My morning started off with Doug picking up right where he left off before Christmas. Now it’s time to clean up the decorations. Is everyone eating ham and black-eyed peas today? Does it count if I just listen to the Black-Eyed Peas?
I think listening to the BEP totally counts!
Happy New Year!
I only recently just heard about this “tradition” myself. No Black-Eyed Peas here (music or vegetable).
I ate my ham, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes.
Happy New Year!
