Cathy, I wouldn’t put much stock in it. The autor, along with her comenters are the same sort of people that scream we need more prisons, but “not in my back yard.”
They don’t want grants and government money, unless it is for a program that affects them directly.
Having a sense of community, of doing for others as well as yourself, is a concept that ends where their wallet begins. Because if any of those clowns had a child with autism, not only would they be singing a different tune, they would be the first ones filing suits to get it.
