Funny how things work that way, especially with kids.
However, it also works that way sometimes with adults. After the funeral of one of my wife’s brothers, there was an opportunity for photos of my mother-in-law’s surviving ten children. Out of several photos, I managed to get two almost decent images, but in each, one of them had a weird expression or had his head turned. So I photoshopped one of the brothers heads from one image to the other. No one noticed we told them what I had done.
