Nope. Not after we heard how important it is that she be the one to raise Aaron. If they killed her now, they’d be precluding any chance that could happen.
gemini- perhaps that’s why “they have to go back!” So, that Claire’s spirit, unable to leave the island, can raise Aaron. Of course, it Charlie and Jack’s dad can leave, why couldn’t Claire?
If they were going to kill her, they’d just kill her. Witness Rousseau (RIP). She had a strange encounter with her “father” holding the baby, wanders off after him, then they find the baby by himself later. No, we’ll see her again.
I’m with Barry on this one. If Claire died in the explosion, but Sawyer, Hurley, Ben, Locke, and (presumably) Miles see her as a corporeal person, that opens a whole can of worms about everyone else on the island. If Claire is dead, then any one of the rest of them could be as well. When the producers nixed the Purgatory theory, they said something along the lines of “we wouldn’t play those kinds of games” with the audience. I would think (and hope) they’d avoid that same game with Claire.
Of course, I’ve been wrong about “Lost” on lots of other fronts.
I think if we’re going to visit the Land of the Dead, we’re either going to see people raised again and again (Christian, Mikhail), “visions” of the dead (Boone, Yemi), or ghosts (Jacob? still TBD). We may have people communing with the dead, too (Miles). But I don’t think we’re going to see incorporeal “Sixth Sense” phantoms walking around who don’t know they’re dead…
I sorta do.
