remember Christopher J. Scudder

Christopher J. Scudder was a 34-year-old computer technician for EnPointe Technologies who worked in the World Trade Center just two days a week. He was in the tower on September 11, 2001.

Mr. Scudder was born on October 9, 1967. He grew up in Spring Valley, N.Y., and lived in Monsey. He loved computers, gadgets and the Internet. He was known as the Gadget Guru. “He loved to surf the Internet,” said Naomi Lauture, Scudder’s girlfriend. “He loved this stuff,” Lauture said. “He taught himself everything he knew about computers.”

Mr. Scudder was a single parent to his 10-year-old daughter, Shalisha. “He was the mother and the father,” said his sister Adriane. “He went to the PTA meetings. He took her to church two, maybe three services on Sunday. He wanted to make sure his daughter got the best of everything.” Shalisha is now a teenager being raised by her grandmother, Mr. Scudder’s mother.

Christopher J. Scudder was a father, son, brother, friend and co-worker. Spend some time today remembering the 2,996.

  2. I went to 9/11 memorial today. I simply found his name among all those of the victims and tried to put a face to it. Now that he has one, I learned who this man was: a man his family has to be proud of!
