I still can’t hear out of my right ear and my head is pounding for the zillionth day in a row, but that made it easier to remain calm when Amy decided to play the high school boy’s “smell my finger” game at the pede’s office this morning. Evan has his very first ear infection and we’re just so proud of that accomplishment. Since he has spent the week learning to climb to the top of the sofa, the top of the table and every other piece of furniture that is more than 3 feet off the ground, I expect he’ll achieve a broken bone soon. As I write this he just climbed onto the front windowsill and is balanced there like a circus acrobat. Can anyone explain why a child who must change her entire outfit if it has 3 drops of water on it (“It’s ruined.”) doesn’t notice the food all over her face (“I didn’t eat anything chocolate.”)
