further apologies to Eric Idle

All things tween and teen
They’re creatures growing up
They’re taller than me now
I can’t believe they’re mine

The whiteheads clog up their pores
Blackheads that should be popped
Their skin is always oily
Buy cleanser by the quart.

They always want more money
They hang out at the mall
Growing out of all their clothes
Stealing my sweaters

I am a grown-up now,
I can make my own choices–
Why won’t you drive me somewhere?
Is my laundry done? Why not!

I have a date Saturday
I’m going to my friend’s
Always something fun to do
No time for my homework

Woot
