Honor Society induction
Tonight was Sarah’s induction into the Honor Society. I wept through the ceremony. Normal milestones are bittersweet when one of your children is disabled. The normalcy of Sarah’s life, her achievements and her potential all make me so proud, yet each and every one is a reminder of what Tommy hasn’t had and how hard he still struggles. My head is weary from the battle against rezoning. My heart is weary from the tragedy in Virginia. I feel like there is too much division where there should be unity. We are all more alike than we are different.

“I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.” Mahatma Gandhi

  1. Congratulations, Sarah!

I have confidence Tommy will do his own things in his own time that will make you just as proud. 🙂

As bad as the VT situation is, it was just one man that did it. Don’t let the actions of one man drag down your heart.
