As much as I love my “hour of power” on Comedy Central, I really suspect that Senator Obama is ending his run for the presidency tonight. I just can’t imagine a serious politician being interviewed by a comedian. I’ll watch though. I hope Stewart doesn’t hold back.
The Daily Show’s become a required stop for most politicians, regardless of their political leanings. Edwards announced his candidacy on the show, last time around (worked well, don’t you think?) and the list of politicians Stewart’s interviewed is pretty impressive.
The interviews are funny, but usually to-the-point. He’s been accused of softballing left-leaning candidates, but I don’t think that’s really the case.
How many candidates who went on either show won their office?
All of ’em. A few were also fellated backstage by groupies.
