I bail out Kasia like that once per year. And once is all she gets. It’s her responsibility (at 10 years old) to make sure she tells me at least a day in advance if she needs a uniform or specific clothes, or has her flute ready for school.
Having said that, she’s already used her “get out of jail free” card this year. If she forgets her flute again – tough noogies, kid.
