romanticizing the past and ignoring the future

A recurring theme at School Matters is the rose colored glasses view of the past. “We never had problems like that when I was in school.” Yet, nobody recognizes that past generations failed to learn their duty as American citizens to VOTE. Should we blame the schools or the parents for politicians who don’t know the difference between right and wrong? I guess the Judge needs to call the commissioners’ parents and have them set their children straight. Tell them to bring their belts. I keep hearing that good, hard spankings will fix everything.

  1. One reason why I hate politics so much is because of all the shady characters. It’s so hard to choose the lesser of the evils while voting. It’s depressing.
