Both Amy and Evan get a new book approximately every month. When the books arrive, Amy does a little “I got mail” dance that puts Joe to shame. Then, she has us read the book to her until she has memorized the basics of the story. This is so that she can “read” it to herself and so she can scold us if we read it wrong (Doug skips pages and shortens dialogue). Evan is less grateful. He allows 10 seconds for us to read the entire book and then he eats the book. I think Dolly would save money if she just mailed him a graham cracker every month.
