Primary plan: Call Doug. Doug gently places the spider outside. Spider yells for his friends and re-enters the house.

Backup plan: Put glass over spider. Wait for Doug to rescue spider or spider’s demise, whichever comes first. Vacuum or sweep spider away.

Exception rule #1: If spider is on the wall and looks non-threatening (daddy long-legs), ignore until Doug can be found or spider reaches ground level.

Exception rule #2: If spider is on the wall and looks scary, evacuate room until Doug is found.
