He waited until the grandparents were here and everyone was ready to go outside for egg hunting before he crawled out of bed. Bed has always been his safe place, but at least he now prefers being ON the bed to being UNDER it. He moved at his only speed to hunt for eggs. He does not “hurry.” After eating lunch with the entire crowd, he vanished to his room to read a graphic novel that was in his Easter basket. He reappeared at 4:55, cheerfully requesting a ride to work. I need to continue working on his room reorganization and scrubbing, but he is too happy for that right now. The piles of clutter can wait when his mood is this good.
