tommy and sarah go to the mall

Tommy – puts on the nearest shoes and declares himself ready to go. Sarah – spends an hour picking out clothes and playing with hair and still needs more time. Tommy – heads straight to the video game store. Sarah – wanders the entire mall looking for friends before entering a single store. Tommy – […]

now everyone has seen them

Pathways magazine has published a picture of me breastfeeding Evan at STAR.  The picture is being used with an article that encourages nursing in public.  I feel like my breasts have now had their 15 minutes of fame. I still love the benches at STAR.  They are built like wheelbarrows with wheels at one end […]

kindred spirits

Shhh.  Don’t tell them I noticed, but for the last 3 days, Sarah and Tommy have been getting along and being extra nice to each other.  I guess they have finally realized something they have in common.  They both think their parents are morons.

firefly hunting

Last night’s firefly safari netted 13 blinking bugs.  Since they share one jar, they have trouble not letting them go as they catch them.  Amy has trouble resisting the urge to let them go inside the house.  I have trouble remembering to let the bugs go AFTER the children are in bed but BEFORE I […]

teen dance club?

There has been a large banner at a busy intersection which I have been trying to read for several weeks. Apparently it is intended for the same audience as that buzzing ringtone, because the placement of the banner, colors of ink and size of text made it extremely hard for this old person to completely […]
