Amy: “I got an E+ on my book of school safety rules.”
Me: “That’s wonderful. What were the rules?”
Amy: “Umm, I can only remember one.”
Me: “What is it?”
Amy: “Never punch people in the face.”

and that is a good to remember..as far as rules go
She’s right. As safety rules go, that one should be near the top. You are quite likely to break a bone in your hand or at least give yourself some deep bruising when punching people in the face. There are too many hard bones in the facial area.
For better safety, focus on gut punches. Or knees to the groin. You are less likely to get yourself hurt that way.
Safety is job #1.
